All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Sun Tzu
About This Quote

Sun Tzu's famous chapter, " The Art of War," is a collection of short, pithy sayings used to teach military tactics. One prohibits the use of deception in war, and warns against doing anything to make your enemy believe something different from what you intend. If the enemy is convinced that you are too weak to attack, then you may attack if you are strong enough. Similarly, if he thinks that you are not far away from his territory, then you might be able to get there if you are close enough.
